- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb / 450 g)
- 1 cup (150 g) sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
- While the chicken cooks, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the mushrooms. Sauté for 5 minutes until they are soft.
- Add the Marsala wine and chicken broth to the mushrooms, bringing it to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, flip the chicken breasts in the air fryer and cook for another 10 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve the chicken topped with the creamy Marsala sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
- Feel free to add additional herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
