Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) white fish fillets (like cod or haddock)
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water
- 2 large potatoes, cut into chips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the sparkling water until you have a smooth batter.
- Dip each fish fillet into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place the battered fish in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- In another bowl, toss the potato chips with olive oil and season with salt. Place them in the air fryer after the fish is done and cook for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can double fry the chips.
- Feel free to add your favorite herbs or spices to the batter for added flavor.
