- 1 lb (450 g) white fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)
- 1 cup (100 g) breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Mayonnaise or tartar sauce for serving
- Lettuce and tomato for toppings
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Season fish fillets with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Coat each fillet in flour, dip in beaten egg, and cover with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated fish in the air fryer basket in a single layer and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Toast the burger buns lightly in the air fryer for 2 minutes at 360°F (182°C).
- Assemble the sandwiches with fish fillets, mayonnaise or tartar sauce, lettuce, and tomato.
Notes
- Make sure the fish fillets are dry before coating for better adherence of the breadcrumbs.
- You can customize the toppings with your favorite ingredients, such as pickles or cheese.
