Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (90 g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175 g) chocolate chips

- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in both sugars until smooth.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the butter and sugar mixture.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For extra fudginess, do not overbake.
- You can add nuts for crunch if desired.
