- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb (450 g) prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) white wine
- 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the prawns to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the white wine and let it reduce for 2 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to coat well.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a bit of heat, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Substitute prawns with chicken or mushrooms for a different protein option.
