- 1 can (14.75 oz or 415 g) of salmon, drained
- 1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup (40 g) diced onion
- 1/4 cup (60 g) mayonnaise
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the drained salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2.5 inches (6 cm) in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce or on a bun.
Notes
- For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.
- You can add chopped fresh herbs like dill or parsley for additional flavor.
