- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons (60 g) unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) dry white wine
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup (15 g) fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti or linguine
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until melted.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the shrimp, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, cooking until the shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Toss in the cooked spaghetti and fresh parsley, mixing well to combine.
- Serve immediately with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh, wild-caught shrimp for the best flavor.
- Feel free to add some red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
