- 1 can (15 oz or 425 g) tuna, drained
- 2 cups (300 g) mashed potatoes
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) dried dill
- 1/2 cup (60 g) breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, mashed potatoes, onion, parsley, dill, and egg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Mix until well combined, then shape the mixture into small patties.
- Coat each patty in breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red chili flakes to the mixture.
- These fish cakes can be frozen; just reheat in the oven when needed.
