Ingredients

- 1 lb (450 g) white fish, such as cod or haddock
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (150 g) frozen peas
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) butter
- 2 tablespoons (15 g) flour
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups (200 g) mashed potatoes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté the onion until translucent.
- Add flour and cook for 1 minute, then gradually stir in milk and cream to create a thick sauce.
- Add the fish, peas, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
- Transfer the fish mixture to a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbling.
Notes
- Use any firm white fish you like.
- Add grated cheese on top for extra flavor.
