Ingredients

- 1 cup (240 ml) ketchup
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup (50 g) brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) mustard
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 g) cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and stir well.
- Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Remove from heat and let cool before storing in an airtight container.
- Use the sauce as a marinade or a condiment for grilled meats.
Notes
- For a spicier sauce, add more cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
- This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
