- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 1 kg)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (200 g)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (125 g)
- 1 cup milk (240 ml)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (115 g)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish (9×13 inches or similar).
- Evenly distribute the peach mixture over the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the peach mixture.
- This cobbler is delicious served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
