- 1 jalapeño, deseeded and minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup diced cucumber (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced strawberries, red onion, jalapeño, and cucumber (if using).
- Add the chopped cilantro and lime juice, then season with salt to taste.
- Toss gently to combine all the ingredients well.
- Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.
Notes
- For a spicier salsa, leave some seeds in the jalapeño.
- This salsa is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
