- 2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 head of garlic
- 4 tbsp (60 g) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the top off the head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30 minutes.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes, return them to the pot, and add the roasted garlic, butter, and milk.
- Mash until smooth, and season with salt and black pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, use heavy cream instead of milk.
- You can also add sour cream for a tangy flavor.
