- 2 lbs (900 g) beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups (960 ml) beef broth
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, add the beef, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then sprinkle with thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beef is tender.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, sear the beef cubes in a pan before adding to the slow cooker.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or green beans for variety.
