- 2 lbs (900 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup (240 ml) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (5 g) dried thyme
- 1 tsp (5 g) dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup (120 g) frozen peas
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, onion, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in the frozen peas.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
- Serve over rice or pasta.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream before serving.
- This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables.
