- 2 lbs (900 g) pork shoulder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 cup (240 ml) BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Place the seasoned pork in the slow cooker and pour in the BBQ sauce and chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the pork, shred it with two forks, and return it to the slow cooker to mix with the sauce.
- Serve on buns or with sides of your choice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the pork in the spices overnight.
- Serve with coleslaw for a classic BBQ experience.
